With a master’s degree in education, Rita Pitanga already was a successful economist for 30 years in Brazil before retiring and coming to Houston in 2015 to be close to her daughter and grandchildren.

Once Rita arrived in Texas, she went right back to work. She started to teach Portuguese at the Brazilian Arts Foundation. In just six months, her passion for learning and helping others led her to become a real estate professional. From her professional background, she brings a deep understanding of economic trends in real estate and the ability to be a good listener who understands her clients’ expectations.

Being fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish also helps. Best of all, she’s most happy when she’s helping other people. First-time buyers are her favorites. It’s especially rewarding to help them achieve their dreams of homeownership. Like them, she strives for the best in life — and she never gives up.

Away from work, Rita enjoys walks in the park, reading, and taking the time to visit with residents of a nearby nursing home.
